It's very simple yet effective. The spinning action is enough to cleanse a makeup brush and leave it spotless. I use it to clean my shaving brush after each shave and it works wonders; it's worth mentioning this device is not designed to clean such a big brush and I had to design a custom top to hold the brush while cleansing, but if it's able to clean that, it sure can cleanse smaller brushes.

The brushes come out incredibly clean, and the process is much faster than washing them by hand. I highly recommend it for its efficiency and thoroughness.

The product arrived quickly and looks just like the pictures. I tested it yesterday, and it works well overall. However, you can't fill it to the maximum capacity indicated, as it will stop working. My recommendation is to place 3-4 brushes in at a time and gradually add water until the brushes are covered. Note that for base and concealer brushes, some manual cleaning may be needed as it doesn't fully remove all makeup from these types of brushes.
